PLC Programming
For over 10 years, PTP have been involved in many PLC, HMI and SCADA applications ranging from stand-alone machines and simple production lines through to full plant process automation. Typical application areas include food processing & packaging, automotive and general industrial control.
Our team of software engineers have worked extensively with PLCs from most of the leading suppliers, including Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley and Siemens.
- Mitsubishi PLC - FX, Q series and others
- Mitsubishi HMI - E & GOT Series
- Mitsubishi Software - GX IEC/GX Developer, E-Designer, GT Works 2, MX4 Scada and HMI, MX Component and various others Melsec applications.
- Allen-Bradley PLC - MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, PLC series and others
- Allen-Bradley HMI - PanelView Series
- Allen-Bradley Software - RSLogix 5000, RSView and others
- Siemens PLC, HMI & Software - Simatic Series
We are also familiar with PLCs from Omron, Telemecanique and Fanuc.
Previous Projects undertaken
- Large scale integration of a data logging and recipe control system in an industrial SCADA application across various food manufacturing plants. Development included use of many of the Mitsubishi range including the FX and Q series as well the E & GOT Series HMIs.
- Large scale control of machinery in the food manufacturing industry utilising Allen-Bradley and Mitsubishi PLCs.
- Bespoke control of specialised machinery in an industrial conveyer system where product was powder coated and processed. The Allen Bradley RSLogix PLC was employed using the RSLogix 5000 development tools.
- A "Needle dipping" jig used to accurately coat needles. The work was carried out under a tight timescale and budget using a Siemens PLC.
- Design a motion control system for a large industrial (100 tonne) press used to investigate the forming characteristics of aluminium. PLC programming was needed within the Delta Tau motion controller to allow automated sequencing of the hydraulic rams and to interface with the safety circuit.
